Panera’s partnership with the ESPN basketball analyst and former UConn and WNBA star tipped off in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month with the Pink Ribbon Bagel campaign. Panera franchise-owner Howley Bread Group donated 25 cents from each Pink Ribbon Bagel purchased to the CT Sports Foundation Against Cancer, which provides funds to families battling cancer to help them pay their household bills during treatment. We managed public relations and designed the point-of-purchase materials, including a life-size banner (Rebecca is 6’ 4”!) in each Panera/HBG bakery-café.
