Connecticut residents now have a free, convenient, and environmentally responsible way to recycle residential gas cylinders commonly used for camp stove cooking and DIY projects.
The Cylinder Collective (TCC) is a nonprofit organization approved by the State of Connecticut to establish a statewide collection network at municipal transfer stations, select state parks, and other recycling facilities. Residents can visit cylindercollective.org to locate a nearby collection site and learn more about the participating manufacturers and brands supporting the program.
We were selected to develop and execute a comprehensive marketing campaign designed to build awareness and encourage participation. The campaign included collection-site signage, educational toolkits for transfer stations, consumer brochures, trade show and consumer event displays, public relations outreach, and social media content targeting both public works officials and outdoor recreation enthusiasts.
The results were immediate and measurable. Within six months of launch, TCC had secured 70 participating collection sites statewide and collected more than 14,000 gas cylinders for recycling.
